Mark Stevenson

Mark Stevenson was one of the founding editors at the groundbreaking digital news organization After joining the company before its launch in 1996, he served in several roles as an editor and producer in business, technology and general news, most recently as senior news editor at the successor organization, NBC News Digital. Before joining, Mark worked as an editor at the San Jose Mercury News, the Columbia (Mo.) Daily Tribune and the Alabama Journal.
He holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and an undergraduate degree from Auburn University with a double major in economics and journalism.
In his spare time, Mark hikes in the Cascades, makes bad puns, revels in winning the baseball fantasy league he has competed in since 1985, cheers for the Auburn Tigers, goes on mission trips to Brazil and regrets that he can no longer jump.
